Alola! Welcome! [First Topic]

Professor Magnolia stood in the welcome center of the reservation. Today would be the first time they would officially allow people into the reservation to get their first pokemon. To say she wasn't nervous would be a lie. Her and the rest of the Flora Pokemon reservation team worked very very hard to get to this point. She tugged at her lab coat to make sure it was nice and neat. She nodded to the girl at the counter to unlock the doors to allow the curious and excited selected people inside the welcome center. She brushed back her black hair before spreading out her arms and greeted the people. "Alola! Welcome! There are a few things we need to cover before I let you inside the reservation itself."

Bishop was tucked in the back of the crowd, their hands shoved deep into their pockets and their head ducked. Their eyes nervously flickered up to all the other people that surrounded them, having never really done well with crowds and...Well, it wasn't their choice to be here. It had been their parent's idea to sign them up to get a Pokemon when the option had been open - saying that it would 'do him good' and maybe 'help him get out of his shell.' And maybe they were right but it didn't change the fact that they weren't very excited about this whole thing.

Abigail, on the other hand, was very excited. She could barely contain herself as she bounced on the balls of her feet. She had always dreamed of her own Pokemon - listening to stories of brave heroes fighting side by side with their Pokemon and going on grand adventures...Well, she didn't exactly dream of adventures like that with whatever Pokemon she had gotten. She had just always been curious by Pokemon in general as they were so vary...So she was certain that some where in the reservation would be a Pokemon that would fit her just fine.

Zoey found herself somewhere in the middle of the people gathered, not wanting to be on the outside but at the same time not wanting to seem too excited. Her headphones were down around her neck, the way they only ever were when she felt something was actually important - today certainly fell under that category, after all. She was doing her best to keep her mind from wandering and stay focused on the Professor's words, but she was an observer by nature and her attention kept being drawn to the others around her.

Stella, however, was far too excited to pay that much attention to any one thing. She wasn't intentionally tuning out Professor Magnolia, just easily distracted, and the incredibly interesting people who surrounded her captured her attention one by one. Focusing on just one thing for more than a few minutes was far from her strong suit, and half her attention was already occupied anyway. Fey could be so stubborn sometimes. "C'mon, Fey," she encouraged. "Today's, like, the best day ever!"

The bookworm in question was struggling to keep her glasses on as she was rushed into the scene, kicking in screaming in her own emotionally stunted way. Why did she have to come? There were people here. People! She disliked people even though she had grown up in the one big city on the island. Her eyes were rolling and she quietly groaned. Sure, Pokemon were cool, but people were making such a big fuss about it. What was so fantastic about having more Ratattas rummaging through your garbage? Honestly, this whole project got on her nerves, the way people constantly buzzed about it. She would much rather hunker down and read about things as opposed to having to be face-to-face with real and smelly living beings. "Sure..."

Rowan was standing in the middle of the gathering crowd as they all waited for the reservation to open. As much as he was excited to get a Pokèmon, he was not fond of all the people trying to get in before anyone else does. It wasn't as if no one was getting a Pokèmon, why the rush to get in before everyone else? He shook his head slightly; understanding people was never his strong suit. He crossed his arms in slight annoyance as people around him continued to shuffle about, bumping into him occasionally. To distract himself, he decided to think about which Pokèmon he would want to choose. He definitely wanted a Dragon-type, but he wasn't sure which Dragon-type Pokèmon he wanted. He'd just have to figure that out as he wandered through the reserve.

Blake stood a short distance from the gates, eagerly watching the professor as she prepared to give out the rules for the reservation. He'd been ecstatic to learn that he had been chosen to be one of the few to receive Pokèmon as they were being reintroduced to Oasis Cay. His parents could barely tolerate him at times. The boy wasn't sure which Pokèmon he wanted, however. He guessed he'd just have to let the creature choose him, rather than the other way around.

Dr. Claire McKinney stood next to Professor Magnolia, listening half-heartedly to what she was saying. In the back of her mind, she was constantly thinking about various breeding pairs and other various breeding conundrums that could come up in the repopulation of Oasis Cay Island. Her ditto, Mimic, seemed to realize this and began nudging her, bringing her out of her thoughts. She smiled at the purple Pokèmon as a silent thank you and turned her head back towards the professor, trying her best to pay attention. But really, in her opinion, this was a distraction that took her away from her work.

Wolf was keeping his calm demeanor and his cool attitude. Not fully in the group, but not fully out. He didn't mind waiting or crowds. left hand in his pocket, right hand holding the strap of his backpack. His stance was relaxed, yet not unguarded.

Wolf took a sweep of the crowd gathered here. His eyes were sharp and calm as he took everything in. He felt confident in his ability to be a great trainer. He knew that was how most felt, but he was sure that his journey would be the best. There was no obstacle in his mind that he couldn't overcome, but he kept cool about it though somewhat confident and prideful. If anybody were to ask him what his goal was it was a simple answer. He would become the strongest trainer out there once he got his new partner and got his journey started nothing could stop him from just moving forward.

Wolf settled himself to waiting and just tossed his head to adjust his hair without his hands. His time would come soon enough to get his partner and begin. No rush when it was inevitable.

Dreyma walked…or more like actually bounced…to the entrance. She had been talking Ragnor’s ears off the whole way from their town to the reserve in her excitement much to the serious boy’s annoyance. She really didn’t noticed though, she was just so happy, her whole life she had wanted a Pokémon of her own, to be a trainer, and now that dream was finally within her reach and she couldn’t wait to take a tight hold on it.

Her mind rushed through the many pictures and descriptions of the Pokémon in the many books she used to read before this day, wondering which one would be her first companion in this adventure of hers. Could it be the powerful Dragonite? The beautiful Milotic? The friendly Lapras? Or even the underrated Durant?

She didn’t know, but she knew she was going to absolutely love whoever became her first Pokémon friend.

It was no wonder she was one of the most excited trainers when professor Mongolia opened the doors and greeted them. The only reason she didn’t dart forward was because of Ragnor’s tight hold on the neck of her t-shirt.

Ragnor sighed as he was basically dragged by his only childhood friend towards the reserve. Yes, Dreyma was younger than him, but she was also the only one that didn’t get discouraged by his lone wolf attitude that he had even when he was way younger.

In all honesty, he wasn’t as excited as most people in the place, the only reason he had acceded to get himself a Pokémon at all being the hyper girl at his side…as well as some secret ambitions to see how far he could go if he took the trainer path once she had managed to convince him to get his own Pokémon partner as well.

He snapped out of his thoughts when the doors opened and, predicting Dreyma’s impulsive reaction, he quickly took a firm hold of her t-shirt’s neck to keep her from darting forward before the professor even finished her greeting. The serious boy couldn’t help but smile slightly and let out a soft chuckle as he did, sometimes he found himself wondering where she got all that energy from.

When was this thing going to start? Kari couldn't wait any longer! It was high time she got her first Pokemon, there were enough people here. They should just start already!

Striding forward with a determined pace, she narrowed crimson eyes on the Professor ahead of her. If the lady wasn't going to hurry up, Kari was going to say something and get the ball rolling. She shoved her way through the crowd with a head full of dreams... until her booted toe caught something. The next few moments passed in slow motion. First, Kari was made aware of someone's (Zoey's) foot being swept out from under them when hers connected with it. Second, her balance was thrown off and she was sent toppling forward into another person (Wolf). Her cheek collided with their back and her momentum was enough to send them both crashing gracelessly to the ground.

The hot headed girl groaned, pushing herself up on her hands and knees to look down at who she had just crashed into. White hair, red eyes, and pale skin.

Well...

At least he wasn't hard on the eyes.

Angel's blank lilac gaze lifted from the slip of paper she held up to the commotion ahead of her. Did someone fall? How weird, it didn't seem like they were going in yet... She blinked in confusion.

Once.

Twice

Oh well.

The girl then idly wondered what it was she'd be having for lunch today. Maybe daikon? Daikon sounded good.

Wolf was standing there minding his own business waiting patiently with the crowd. There was no rush in his mind, though he could tell some others were barely able to wait. Suddenly there was a noise from close behind him, and before he could even turn to see what it was a weight was at his back throwing him forwards to the ground. He tried to stop or slow their fall, but the time it took him to take one hand out of his pocket and unhook his other from the strap on his backpack he could only barely brace for impact.

Dazed for a moment he caught the sight of a girl over him. Wolf wasn't the type to push people off of him, at least not when they were this cute. Granted, he hadn't gotten to fully check them out----yet. He rolled onto his back underneath the girl to face her. At first he just thought she was cute, but actually this girl was beautiful. Deep red hair and red eyes to match. Wolf would definitely be keeping his eyes on this girl through his journey anytime their paths crossed. "Hey, I know they call it a "crush," but that doesn't mean you actually have to try and crush me, ya'know." he spoke coolly to her without a moments hesitation, and quickly leaned up to kiss her cheek.

"So, when we get out of here let's say we go to grab some food and maybe hit the Pokemart together. See where things go from there." It was a question, but he said it more as a statement like it would be happening. Of course, she could refuse this. It was just that his tone was confident and implying.
