FIRST IMPRESSION
Kari captivates a room with her fiery determination in a very overwhelming way. She seems like a spoiled brat at first sight, all stubborn and immature with a splash of excessive violence and recklessness. One of the first few things you'll notice is the searing passion in her eyes. Her messy hair and feral appearance suggests she doesn't much care for excessive grooming, and her crude language and tendency to punch first and ask questions later points at a rough upbringing. She's easy to dismiss, but hard to ignore. Also, her tendency to flirt unabashedly with anything that moves typically leads people to question her sexuality.



ABILITIES & SKILLS
SELF-TAUGHT GYMNAST

Kari is particularly agile girl. She got into things such as parkour and a more crude form of gymnastics forcibly from having to run from the occasional observant police officer or, more commonly, an infuriated thug she conned out of a bit of coin. She's quick thinking in this regard, taking note of stable footholds and how much momentum she'll need to carry herself up a wall or over a significant gap between roofs. Considering she's fearless, but not perfect, she's broken and fractured a few bones due to slight miscalculations. Through enough stubbornness and practice however, she's managed to develop a superb sense of balance and the ability to seemingly defy gravity with some of her escape methods.

ADEPT LOCKPICK

Another handy trick she picked up from her "peers" over in Undertown, Kari is a practiced lockpick. Now, I say practiced because she's not necessarily a master at this, but she can get past most simple locks. She used this in the past to find shelter when she had none for the night. Nowadays she pretty much uses it to sneak into Elliot's cabin in just about every way humanly possible. It's progress... I think?

Having applied for a Pokémon out of general spite to her father, Kari honestly hadn't entirely expected to get one considering her harsh background. Whether she had or not, she would have found another way to climb out of the hellhole she was stuck in, but imagine her surprise when she got that letter in the mail notifying her that she had been accepted. She hadn't informed her guardians of her application at all, so the day she went to retrieve her partner Pokémon she snuck out through the window to get to the reservation. She was the second civilian through those doors and the first trainer out, her new partner Eevee beside her. They're a passionate duo, driven to make a difference in any way they possibly can. A word of warning? Don't fuck with the ragtag group of people and Pokémon that she calls family.

You'll regret it.

Kari's open to just about any sort of friendship/rivalry. Her fiery, outgoing nature makes her easy to get along with! Bonds are fast-forged with her, but keep in mind that a lot of her immediate personality is a front. You'll get the illusion of being close to her before you actually are, and she will throw herself in harms way without hesitation to save the life of a total stranger. It's in her nature. She's also open to romance, but I'll probably be a bit picky on that as she has a very particular personality. Anyone she ends up in a relationship with would definitely have to be ready to fight her on things! She's a passionate girl. "Easy" relationships just don't suit her. 01/06/2000

This was the day Kari was born! It had been unusually cold that winter for the tropical island of Oasis Cay, and surprisingly it had been snowing from around 12:30 AM to about 3:00 AM. Kari was born around 1:15 in the morning with mild complications.

09/17/2010

Mugging gone wrong tragically ends Blue's life early. This starts a steady downwards spiral into depression for both her and her father.

09/29/2010

Blue's funeral. From here on Red became drastically distant and neglectful.

11/13/2010

Kari runs away from home to Undertown. She wanders the streets alone for a time.

11/30/2010

Kari meets Queen Zada in a skirmish between her and some thugs. Her spirit and mouth quickly earns Zada's respect and Zada offers to take her under her wing. Kari refuses and continues to live on the streets.

12/29/2010

Kari encounters Zada again, agrees to do some work here and there for her in return for shelter on the coldest nights.

Kari's first birthday without her mom. This is a particularly rough time for her.

Kari finally agrees to letting Zada teach her some tricks, she's beginning to see Zada as a trustworthy person.

Kari begins running errands for some of the gangs in Undertown. She also picks up graffiti around this time.

Kari leaves Undertown for the first time in years and travels back up to Yakushi to visit her mother's grave. She retreats underground soon after.

05/28/2017

Kari's caught by the authorities and taken to live with her mother's closest living relatives in Zinnia Town. Needless to say, she's not fucking happy.

06/21/2018

In a twist of fate, Kari meets Edera and Elliot in Alstromer Forest. Could this be the start of something great...?
